Central Park segments

One lap of the drive is about 6.1 miles. Bikes ride it one way, counter-clockwise: north up the East Drive, across the top at 110th, south down the West Drive. Pick a segment to see where it sits and Ryan’s best time on it.

Schematic, not to scale. Each pin sits roughly in the middle of its segment; the drive is one-way for bikes.

Riding the loop

  • The drive is shared with runners and walkers. Pedestrian crossings have the right of way; slow down at the crossings near 72nd and the transverses.
  • Harlem Hill is the one real climb, in the north-west corner. The rest is rollers.
